Contour Airlines no longer officially accepts Kitesurfing Equipment as they claim it is will not fit on the plane. This is incorrect, as Contour Airlines accepts surfboards and windsurfing gear, so rather than flying with kitesurfing gear, simply stated that you are flying with a surfboard or with windsurfing equipment.

Your kiteboarding equipment must be limited to 23 kg / 50 lbs, otherwise an additional $25 overweight fee will be charged. To have any chance of getting your kitesurfing gear accepted, the size of your kite bag must be below 30 x 15 x 45 inches.
Contour Airlines Kitesurfing Fee: NOT ACCEPTED
Contour Airlines Sports Equipment Fee: $25 USD + $25 Overweight Fee if more than 23 kg/50 lbs (max 45 kg / 99 lbs)
