Skywest Airlines Baggage Report Card

Carry-On Allowance7 / 10
Checked Bag Allowance7 / 10
Excess Baggage Fees7 / 10
Overall Grade7.0 / 10

Your standard airline's carry-on baggage policies will apply when flying on a SkyWest operated flight.

Please note that due to limited space on board, some carry-on items will need to be gate-checked (placed into the hold of the aircraft at boarding) and you will not have access to your carry-on bag during the flight. Your carry-on bag will be returned to you when getting off the plane, or at the baggage carousel. [AMZ asins='B00LB7REFK,B082K8ZNQ1,B07ZWLQF9T,B00NW62PCA']

If your carry-on bag is gate-checked, you will have to make sure there are no dangerous items such as Lithium Batteries in the bag that is gate-checked - these items will have to be taken into the cabin with you.

Skywest Airlines Checked Baggage Fees 2022 - Checked Bag Weight & Size Limits

Standard checked baggage fees and policies apply on Skywest operated flights. For your exact policies, please refer to the Skywest Partner airline's page for whom Skywest is operating the flight.

You can find these policies here:

Delta Airlines Checked Baggage Policy
United Airlines Checked Baggage Policy
American Airlines Checked Baggage Policy
Alaska Airlines Checked Baggage Policy

Please note when travelling with extra bags, due to the smaller aircraft used by Skywest some excess baggage may not fit onto the plane and will have to be sent on a later flight.

Skywest Airlines Overweight Baggage Fee 2022 - Extra Bag Fee - Oversize Baggage

The standard oversize/overweight and excess baggage fees and policies for Skywest's partner airlines will apply to your Skywest operated flight. Please check on the standard carrier's baggage policy page to know the excess/overweight/oversize policies for your flight.

Keep in mind that due to the size restrictions of smaller aircraft operated by Skywest Airlines, some larger items may not be accepted- for example large sport equipment such as Windsurfing Equipment, Kayaks, Hang Gliders, or Extra Large or Giant pet kennels - even if officially accepted by the marketing carrier.

The same applies for oversize and excess luggage - your excess baggage may not be able to fly with you if bringing lots of excess luggage, and may need to be flown on a separate flight. [AMZ asins='B00LB7REFK,B082K8ZNQ1,B07ZWLQF9T,B00NW62PCA']
