The unchecked baggage allowance is:
Hand baggage counts towards the free baggage allowance.
Carry-on baggage - any passenger's luggage other than checked, including that marked with unnumbered tags, carried by the aircraft in the cabin. Such baggage shall be delivered on board of the aircraft by the passengers themselves, to be carried under the passenger's control and responsibility.
In addition to the free baggage allowance, a passenger may carry belongings as listed below. Such belongings include articles that may be needed during the flight:
A lady's handbag;
A briefcase (or attache case);
A walking stick;
A bouquet of flowers;
An outer garment;
A reasonable amount of reading material for the flight;
A suit in a suit carrier;
An infant's carrying basket or pushchair;
Wheelchair (rigid or folding) for disabled person
These belongings need not be submitted for weighing.
Fragile items, valuable items, oversize or diplomatic baggage, animals and birds in cabin.
Baggage requiring special norm for transportation (fragile or valuable items) is allowed for transportation in the cabin if:
Passenger has coordinated such a service with the Rossiya airlines beforehand;
Baggage has been specially checked for air safety.
If the baggage dimensions are big, the passenger has to pay for a separate seat according to passenger tariff.
The weight of baggage carried in the cabin must not exceed 80 kg, and its dimensions must allow it to fit in an individual passenger seat.
Such baggage is placed in a seat by cabin window and fixed with the belt. Baggage requiring special norm of transportation and transported in the cabin is not checked-in. Passengers take care themselves of the baggage they carry in the cabin.
Rossiya Russian Airlines operates on a "weight concept" basis, meaning there is no limit to the number of bags that can be checked in free of charge. However, the total COMBINED weight of all your bags is not allowed to exceed the total weight included as your free checked baggage.

The general free baggage allowances are set forth below:
1. - Direction;
2. - Norm of free baggage allowance (kg) for all passenger types, exception ** and ***.
3. - The overall dimensions of 1 piece of free checked luggage (sm);
4. - Quantity of pieces of free checked luggage;
5. - Weight of hand luggage which is included in total norm of free checked luggage (kg);
6. - Quantity of pieces of hand luggage;
7. - The overall dimensions of 1 piece of hand luggage (sm); 115=(55*40*20)
** - Norm of free checked luggage for crew members.
*** - Norm of free checked luggage for infants under 2 without a seat.
The maximum weight includes the hand luggage allowance.
Such passengers as seamen, immigrants, refugees and children with children's tickets may carry baggage free of charge within established allowance stated in the ticket.
The free baggage allowance does not cover:
Domestic pets, with the exception of guide dogs accompanying blind/deaf passengers;
Oversized and heavy baggage;
Musical instruments (cello, contrabass and others).
The cost of transportation of specified baggage is based on its actual weight and published fares and does not depend on what other items the passenger is taking as baggage.
If the passenger brings more baggage for the flight than has previously been agreed with the carrier and paid for, the additional baggage may be carried only if there is enough space on the aircraft and the passenger pays for it.
Checked-in baggage shall not contain: fragile items, perishable goods, dangerous objects, documents, business papers, money, jewellery, medicines, objects of art etc.

Overweight baggage exceeding your free baggage is allowance is charged on a per kilogram rate. This is determined by the origin and destination of your flight.+ Show Full Policy
Overweight baggage is a part of baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance and is to be paid for. If the weight of your baggage exceeds the established free baggage allowance, the baggage shall be carried on a paid basis as overweight baggage.
Overweight baggage shall be accepted for carriage upon preliminary agreement with the carrier. A passenger wishing to carry overweight baggage shall inform the carrier on the weight and number of overweight baggage pieces in advance (when reserving the seat or buying the ticket). Failure to observe this rule shall entitle the carrier to refuse to carry such baggage.
A passenger shall be enabled to pay for overweight baggage in advance, when reserving the flight.
A fee for overweight baggage shall be exacted at the airport of departure at the start of the journey for the entire passenger's route or to any point of transfer stated in his/her ticket.
Subsequent carriage of the baggage shall be paid for at the airport of transfer.
If a passenger has increased the weight and quantity of carried things in excess of the baggage allowance or in excess of the paid weight at an intermediary airport, an extra fee shall be exacted from the airport of destination stated in the ticket.
Should the weight of baggage be reduced, money shall not be refunded and there shall not be any re-calculation.
Carriage of overweight baggage on credit is not allowed.
Payment for overweight baggage shall be effected for whole kilograms.
The carrier is entitled to refuse to carry baggage and the passenger, should the passenger fail to pay for overweight baggage or for objects carried at the fare of overweight baggage.
The excess baggage must be paid in the currency of the trip originating country. Currency exchange rate is the rate published in agency booking system on the date of payment.

Sports equipment shall be accepted for carriage upon preliminary agreement with the carrier. A passenger wishing to carry sports equipment shall inform the carrier thereof when reserving the seat or buying the ticket.
Casings with straps and pockets, in which skis and other sports equipment are carried, shall be transported in plastic packaging.
Sports equipment shall be carried free of charge, if it does not exceed the free baggage allowance and shall be paid for as overweight baggage, if it exceeds such allowance.
