Carry-on baggage for domestic flights has a strict limit of 5kg for all passengers.
International flights have a slightly higher limit of one piece of 7kg/15lbs. Only Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces of carry-on luggage.+ Show Full Policy

Domestic carry on baggage is strictly 5kgs per passenger.
All economy passengers may bring up to 23kg/50lbs as checked baggage. On flights to/from Noumea and Nadi, the limit is slightly lower, at 20kg/44lbs.
Business Class passengers may always check in 30kg free of charge.
The limit is quite strict, with a maximum allowance of 10kg/22lbs on many flights.
Children travelling in business or economy class are entitled to the same baggage allowance as above. Infants are entitled to 10kg for checked-in luggage.
If travelling with friends or relatives you can all pool your baggage allowance together and will all need to check-in together at the airport.

In addition to the baggage referred to the above, the following items may be carried free of charge:
Infants food for consumption in flight and infant's carry basket*
A fully collapsible wheel chair* and/or a pair of crutches and/or walking stick and/or other prosthetic device for you if you are dependent on them
Infants carry baskets, wheelchairs may be used to board the aircraft, then will be stowed in the aircraft hold.

All excess/overweight baggage will be charged on a per kilogram basis. The per kilogram rate depends on the origin and destination of your flight, so be sure to check the rate before packing your bas.
It is best to inform the airline ahead of time, so that you can guarantee there will be space for your excess luggage in the cargo hold.+ Show Full Policy
Excess baggage charges will apply when a traveller's checked-in baggage exceeds the free allowance set by Air Vanuatu. Remember if you are travelling with friends or as a group you can pool your baggage allowance, however you must check-in at the same time.
If your checked-in baggage exceeds you baggage allowance you will be charged for excess baggage at the following rate:
Vanuatu - VT 700 /per kilo
Brisbane - AUD10.00 / per kilo
Melbourne - AUD10.00 / per kilo
Sydney - AUD10.00 / per kilo
New Zealand - NZD13.00 / per kilo
New Caledonia - XPF10.00 / per kilo

Children and Infants On Board
If you are travelling with young children or infants our cabin crew will be more than happy to assist you during your flight.
Due to space limitation we are not able to provide on board bassinette.
Strollers are not permitted in the cabin of the Aircraft and must be checked in - Infant luggage allowance is 10kgs.
If wheelchair assistance is required please advise your Air Vanuatu Sales Consultant or your Travel Agent to request your wheel chair prior to departure. Passengers may not take their own wheels chair or aids into the aircraft cabin. Air Vanuatu will provide assistance to passengers with mobility limitations, where required, including transferring passengers to and from their mobility device and the aircraft seat.
All knives, sharp objects or cutting implements of any kind and any length, whether of metal or other material, knitting needles, and sporting goods, must be packed in your checked luggage. They cannot be carried in your cabin baggage or on your person. If they are, the articles will be removed and not returned.
