Etihad Airways Fishing Rod Fees

Etihad Airways allows you to take a set of fishing equipment as part of your free checked baggage allowance. Your rod case must not exceed 300cm in length.

A set of fishing equipment may include:
Two rods
One reel
One landing net
One pair of fishing boots
One tackle box [AMZ asins='B000E3E22A,B008BR23FY,B00YEH5PQO,B00SXZMQTM']

All of your fishing equipment must be carried in one package.

Your fishing equipment will be carried free of charge as long as you do not exceed the total combined free weight allowance for your ticket, otherwise the excess weight will be charged at a Per KG rate.

If flying to/from Canada and the USA, your set of fishing equipment may be substituted in place of a regular suitcase as part of your free checked baggage allowance, as long as you stay within the 23 kg / 50 lbs weight limit. If you're bringing your fishing gear is in addition to the suitcases in your baggage allowance, Etihad Airway's extra bag fee will apply, which can get quite expensive.
