Southwest will accept your Kitesurf equipment on-board as checked baggage, and will charge a $75 USD fee. From Southwest.com:
"The items listed below will be accepted as Checked Baggage for a $75 each way charge.
Surfboard/kiteboard, keels and fins must be removed and placed in carryon or checked baggage."

One option is to use a "Kitesurfing Golf Bag" to pass it off as golf equipment, but you may be asked to open the bag for inspection at check-in.
