If the infant has a seat booked for them they loose the 10kgs baggage allowance, they would have to purchase baggage if needed.
If the infant travelling has the 10kgs allowance being used then they can take any 2 of the 3 other items free. (A pushchair/buggy can be carried free of charge on Thomas Cook Airlines irrelevant of the child's age)
Item 1 - A pushchair/buggy, Item 2 - A car seat, Item 3 - A travel cot
If all 3 items are required along with the 10kgs baggage allowance the 3rd item will be charged as excess baggage. This can be added before travel, at least 5 working days before the first departing flight. If this is not added before travel, excess baggage charges will apply at the airport between GBP 8-GBP 10 per kilo.
If the infant travelling is not using the 10kgs baggage allowance then all 3 items can be carried free of charge
Infants do not have a hand baggage allowance. If baby milk is required throughout the journey this will have to be kept in a clear container/bottle. When going through security, the clear container/bottle needs to be separated from hand baggage. If this is not done, the entire hand baggage will have to be searched. Milk will have to be tasted, from every container/bottle passengers have. Baby food is allowed on-board. This also has to be in clear containers/bottles.
Most airlines will allow you to take your child's push chair all the way to the boarding gate. Please advise the check in staff that you have a pushchair so that they can give you a special baggage label. When you reach the boarding gate you will be shown where to place your push chair. On arrival you will normally collect your push chair from the baggage reclaim hall along with the rest of your baggage.

Wheelchairs
If you have your own wheelchair, this will be carried free of charge in addition to your normal baggage allowance. Since a wheelchair is carried in the hold and collected in the baggage reclaim area, we advise that it is adequately insured against loss or damage since the airline liability is limited.
Wherever possible you will be able to stay in your own wheelchair/mobility aid to and from the aircraft side. If required you will be transferred to another wheelchair to take you to your seat on the aircraft.
If you are a wheelchair user who cannot manage stairs or are unable to walk, please contact us, in order that we can make arrangements and advise on the facilities available for getting on and off the aircraft, as these can vary depending on the destination you are travelling to.
The airline needs to know about the size (including height, width and length) and weight of your wheelchair and whether your wheelchair is collapsible, foldable or rigid, so please have these details to hand when you tell us you are bringing it with you. For health and safety reasons, airport staff are unable to manually lift equipment up and down stairs or narrow ramps.
Please note that you cannot travel with wet-cell batteries for any purpose other than for powering wheelchairs. Dependant upon the type of wheelchair/mobility aid being used, a number of safety measures will need to be taken before the flight and you will need to provide information to enable airport staff to assist you.
If you are a wheelchair user or have reduced mobility, we recommend that you contact us directly as soon as possible after booking has been confirmed on 0844 855 0515 no later than 48 hours before first departing flight, to request assistance service at airports. If you do not request this in advance we and the Airline cannot guarantee that this.
