For Infants under 2 years not entitled to a seat
One travel size bag containing clothing, disposable toiletries, soft toys and specialized food that may be necessary for the infant's comfort during flight. The total dimensions of the bag should not exceed 55x40x20 cm/22x16x8 in. and 5 kg in weight.
Additionally articles in excess of the free carry-on may include:
1 ladies hand bag;
1 umbrella or walking stick;
1 overcoat;
1 small camera or binoculars;
1 portable PC;
1 pair of crutches
A reasonable amount of reading material;
Bulky, fragile and valuable baggage in cabin
Bulky, fragile and valuable baggage in cabin is baggage which, due to its nature, is not suitable for loading in hold. Such baggage may be carried in the cabin, provided the conditions mentioned in this topic are met. Such baggage may include:
Musical instruments
Works of art
Electronic equipment.
One or more extra seats must be reserved and paid for if:
The weight exceeds the maximum permitted weight for the free carry-on baggage.
The passenger is not willing to accept the inconvenience of having carry-on baggage stowed under the seat or in the overhead compartment.
It is possible to properly secure the item on the seat.
The maximum authorized weight per seat is 75 kg and the maximum dimensions:
Height: 115cm. (45 inches)
Length: 65cm. (26 inches)
Width: 45cm. (18 inches)
The maximum weight of one checked baggage piece on UIA flights is 32 kg. UIA will not accept single baggage exceeding this limit. Any single piece of baggage exceeding the weight 32kg must be carried in cargo.
This revised policy is in conjunction with most world carriers and with some countries airport safety authority mandates.
Free checked baggage allowance:
All UIA flights, except to/from Canada/USA, US Territories
Business class: 40 kg. (80 lb.)
Economy class: 20 kg. (44 lb.)
Transatlantic flights to/from Canada, USA/US Territories
Business class:
Two pieces of checked baggage: the sum of 3 outside linear dimensions (length width height) of each bag does not exceed 158 cm (62 inches), and provided that the weight of each bag does not exceed 32 kg (70 lb.)
Economy class:
One piece of checked baggage: the sum of 3 outside linear dimensions (length width height) does not exceed 158 cm (62 inches) and the weight does not exceed 23 kg (50 lb.)
All UIA flights
For infants under 2 years not entitled to a seat: one piece of baggage per 1 infant not exceeding the weight of 10kg (22lb.) plus 1 checked in or carry-on fully collapsible stroller/pushchair or infants carrying basket
Incapacitated passengers additionally may carry free of charge one wheelchair per 1 person (irrespective of wheelchair type, weight and size) and/or other assisting devices they are dependent upon. The booking request for wheelchair passenger must reach the UIA reservation department not later than 24 hours before scheduled flight departure. To ensure flight safety and to prevent damages to aircraft, wheelchairs shall only be accepted as checked baggage, provided the conditions for wheelchair are complied with.
Where a number of fees apply for a piece of baggage, all of the relevant rates must be added together. Certain fares allow for more baggage (e.g. seamen, emigrants etc.) according UIA regulations.
Due to quantity limitation or to their weight, volume or nature, the following items may be carried as checked baggage only with the prior consent of the carrier(s) at the time of booking:
Sporting equipment.
Musical instruments.
Fragile and valuable items.
Domestic animals.
Etc.

Business class:
Each piece of checked baggage in excess of two pieces - 200EUR
Each piece of checked baggage in excess of 3 outside linear dimensions (length width height) sum 158cm (62 inches) - 450EUR
Economy class:
One piece of checked baggage in excess of free checked baggage allowance - 50EUR
Each piece of checked baggage in excess of 3 outside linear dimensions (length width height) sum 158cm (62 inches) - 450EUR
Each piece of checked baggage in excess of 23kg (50 lb.) and up to 32kg (70 lb.) - 100EUR
3rd and each the next peace of checked baggage in excess of free checked baggage allowance - 200EUR
Sporting equipment allowance and excess baggage charge
Sporting equipment is transported free of charge within the free baggage allowance per class of service. For free baggage allowance, always see passenger ticket.
Sporting equipment heavier than 32 kg, bicycles-tandems, surfing boards exceeding in length over 290cm - on UIA FLTs must be carried as cargo.
Bulky sporting equipment
Following sporting equipment is considered as bulky;
Bicycles-tandems;
Surfboards longer than 290 cm (114 inches);
Vaulting poles;
Spears;
Kayaks and canoes;
Hang gliders;
Any sporting equipment heavier than 32 kg (70 lbs.).
On UIA flights bulky sporting equipment is carried as cargo.
Other sporting equipment includes:
Archery set: Bow; Arrows; Bag (or container).
Bowling set: bowls; one pair of shoes, bag.
Hockey equipment: hockey sticks (multiple sticks not in bag/box must be taped/attached together), skates, pucks, gloves, pads, bag/box.
Camping equipment: one sleeping bag, or bedroll, one rucksack/knapsack/back pack or tent sack etc.
Skateboard.
There is no limit to the number of items in one set of the other sporting equipment as long as it doesn't exceed the free baggage allowance per booked class of service.
Any type of the other sporting equipment must be properly packed to prevent damage of other baggage.
UIA flights worldwide except to/from Canada/USA, US Territories
The maximum weight/dimensions of each sporting equipment set which can be accepted for carriage in checked baggage:
All sporting equipment types (except surfing equipment): 32kg/no dimensions limit
Surfing equipment: 32kg/ surfing board - max in length up to 290cm (114 in)
Maximum 1SPEQ weight acceptable for carriage free of charge - 20kg (provided the total checked baggage weight (BAG SPEQ) does not exceed free baggage allowance (business class - 40kg, economy class - 20kg).
Also FQTVs ("Panorama" club members) additional free baggage allowance shall be considered.
If total checked baggage weight is over the standard free baggage allowance, the following rules apply:
UIA International flights
For 1 sporting equipment set a special fixed fee 50EUR is charged (if the free baggage allowance 20kg is exceeded, the fixed fee is doubled.
Regular baggage is charged for every additional kilogram over the standard allowance per booked class of service.
The 2nd sporting equipment set and all the next sets are considered as regular baggage and charged per each kg of total checked baggage weight (baggage sporting equipment) in excess of free baggage allowance per class of service.
UIA domestic flights
Considered as regular baggage and charged per each kg of total checked baggage (baggage sporting equipment) in excess of free baggage allowance per class of service.
