Customers can take on board one small piece of hand luggage that will fit in the overhead storage compartment or under the seat. Please keep in mind that the overhead storage compartments on buses are usually smaller than those found on airplanes.
megabus.com does not check luggage or provide receipts for luggage transported on the bus by the passenger. Passengers are advised that megabus.com will accept up to one piece of luggage per passenger. You may be allowed to bring multiple pieces, as long as total weight and size of all pieces combined is less than 20kg and smaller than the size of a standard large suitcase. You may be charged 10 GBP per piece for excess baggage. Fee may vary depending on the route and time of travel.
Passengers travelling on megatrain.com services are able to bring up to two pieces per passenger.
Please be advised that passengers wishing to travel with more luggage than one standard sized suitcase and one small piece of luggage that can fit on your lap or under the seat in front of you may have items refused, depending on the availability of space.
Passengers may be charged 10 GBP per piece for excess baggage. There is no guarantee that excess luggage will be accepted, as it is taken on a space available basis only.
