Cabin or hand baggage allowance per Passenger is 1 piece with a total maximum weight not exceeding 7 Kg. The total dimensions of which should not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
Additional charge will apply for excess Unchecked Baggage. Baggage which You carry on the aircraft must fit under the seat in front of You or in an enclosed storage compartment in the cabin of the aircraft. If Your Baggage cannot be stored in this manner or is of excessive weight or dimension, or is considered unsafe for any reason, it must be carried as Checked Baggage, subject to conditions. Objects not suitable for carriage in the cargo compartment, (such as delicate musical instruments) and which do not meet the requirements in will only be accepted for carriage in the cabin compartment if You have given Us notice in advance and permission has been granted by Us. You may be required to pay a separate charge for this service.
Any liquid, aerosols, gels or paste in a container measuring greater than 100 ml each must be packed in the Checked Baggage. Any individual container measuring over 100 ml (even if the content is less than 100 ml) will NOT be allowed on board. All such items may be carried as carry-on items provided they have been kept in a separate clear plastic, zip top, re-sealable bag and the total volume does not exceed one liter or the pack size does not exceed 20 cm X 20 cm.
Economy Class: 20 kg.
Premium Business Class: 30 Kg.
Infant: 10 kg

Passengers can only combine baggage allowance if they are under the same booking, they check-in together, AND they all board the flight. Otherwise, baggage allowance cannot be combined or transferred.
Additional Free Checked-in Baggage Promotion
At present Bahrain Air also has a promotion allowing additional free baggage. Please check your route and the validity date in the table below.

You will be required to pay a charge for the carriage of Baggage in excess of the free Baggage allowance, subject to space availability. These per kilo rates will be charged according to the travel sector.
Special Assistance
Special Assistance on board our aircraft may cost a nominal fee i.e. wheelchairs. Please check the booking process for special assistance on our (B2B & B2C) web portal or with our Call Center.
Acceptance for carriage of incapacitated persons, pregnant women, persons with illness or other people requiring special assistance is subject to prior arrangement with Us. Passengers with illness or disabilities must advise Us of any special requirements they may have at the time of booking. Failure to advise Us of any special needs at the time of booking and appropriately in advance will result in the service being unavailable and being refused without refund or credit.
Wheelchairs
Wheelchair can be requested at the time of booking or upon check-in at the airport for a charge of BHD 40 per flight.
The Wheelchair service is provided free of charge for Premium Class passengers
Note: Additional service charges shall apply where high-loader is required to carry the passenger(s) with the wheel chair to and from the aircraft.
Sporting Equipment
We charge BD 19 per sports item which may increase depending on the weight of the item.
Domesticated Animals and Birds
We reserve the right, at Our absolute discretion, to refuse to carry any animals. If We agree to carry any animals, they will be carried subject to the following conditions:
You must ensure that domesticated animals such as dogs, cats, household birds and other pets, are properly crated or carried in a container, complying with any applicable governing regulations including but not limited to valid health vaccination certificates, entry permits and other documents required by countries of entry or transit, failing which they will not be accepted for carriage. Such carriage may be subject to additional conditions specified by Us, which are available on request.
If accepted as Baggage, the domesticated animal together with its container and food shall not be included in Your free Baggage allowance, but shall constitute excess Baggage charged to a minimum of 5 kilos, for which You will be obliged to pay an applicable rate.
When carriage is not subject to the liability rules of the Convention, We are not responsible for injury to or loss, sickness or death of an animal which We have agreed to carry unless We have been negligent.
We will have no liability in respect of any such animal not having all the necessary exit, entry, health and other documents with respect to animals entry into or passage through any country, state or territory and the person carrying the animal must reimburse Us from any fines, costs, losses or liabilities reasonably imposed or incurred by Us as a result.
