LATAM accepts windsurfing equipment on board its flights, but you will be charged a "Special Luggage Item" fee for its transport.
LATAM states that windsurf equipment may consist of a board, sail, mast and boom, in one single bag. The size of the bag is limited in length to 320 cm. [AMZ asins='B07WSRXMS8,3903038180,3937323228,B00JE3E028']
The transportation charge for windsurfers on LATAM varies by origin and destination of your flight, and has been increased in 2023.

These are the fees for each windsurf bag, limited in weight to 45kg / 100 lbs in a single bag.
Although the official weight limit is 45kg / 100 lbs, this may depend on the origin/destination/connecting airports you are flying through, as individual airports may have lower limits (sometimes a maximum of 32 kg / 70 lbs per bag) for any piece of luggage that is accepted, to protect the health and safety of the luggage handlers. In these cases, your windsurf bag may be limited to 32 kg / 70 lbs limit. In any case, we do not recommend packing extra heavy windsurf bags, as they are more likely to be mishandled and damaged - we always recommend packing into 2 separate bags (1x boardbag + 1 quiver bag) for a better chance your gear arrives in undamaged, even if it costs a bit more in luggage fees.
LATAM limits the size of a windsurfing board bag to 320 cm in length, regardless of other dimensions, but some smaller aircraft may not be able to fit such large bags - please contact LATAM directly to confirm the size restrictions that apply to the aircraft on your flight route.
