Allegiant does not publish a specific surfboard policy, however it is possible to fit a surfboard with Allegiant's policies, if you are willing to pay for it.

Sporting equipment is considered as standard checked baggage, and all applicable checked baggage fees apply. If exceeding the 80 inch, 50 lbs size and weight limits, additional fees will apply. [AMZ asins='B00HTA1Z6C,B00GGPK0V2,B00NIYJF6U,B0053TGSK4']

Most surfboards, even small shortboards, will not fit within Allegiant's 80 inch size limits, so you will not be able to pass off your board as a standard piece of baggage. However, you are able to pay a $75 oversize fee, if your bag is larger than 80 inches but less than 115 inches linear dimensions. Your shortboards will fit within this 115 inch limit, and you should be able to fit 2-3 shortboards in a bag while staying within the 50 lbs weight restriction. Longboards and most SUPs will not fit within the 115 inch limit.

If exceeding Allegiant's 50 lbs weight limit with your surfboard bag, you will be charged a $50 overweight fee as long as the bag is below 70 lbs / 32 kg. Board bags weighing between 70-100 lbs (32-45 kg) will be charged an additional $75 fee.
