Sunwing will no longer bring your fishing equipment for free in addition to your regular checked luggage - Sunwing now charges a $75 fee each way for bringing your fishing equipment in 2024. This higher fee is in effect as of December 5th 2023.

Passengers are allowed to carry only one piece of sporting equipment per passenger. Passengers are not permitted to include personal items such as clothing or other non-related items in the sport equipment container.
We recommend packing your fishing rods into a hard-shell case such as the Plano Airliner Telescoping Rod Case for maximum protection during travel.
