Sunwing accepts windsurfing equipment in 2024 for a fee of $100 CAD each way, or $200 return (Keep your receipt as proof of purchase for the return flight, you will be charged the $200 on the outbound leg of your flight when departing Canada.) Even though the cost of flying with kitesurf gear has increased for 2024 (from $25 to $75), the price of flying with a windsurf bag has remained fixed at $100.

If flying with wing foiling equipment on Sunwing, it is best to check it in as "Kiteboarding" equipment, as kiteboard equipment is transported for a lower fee of $75 each way compared to windsurf equipment.
All equipment must be securely packed in a rigid or hard-shell container specifically designed for storage in the cargo hold. A limited release form must be signed at check-in.
Please note the fees paid to Sunwing Airlines to transport the sporting equipment to the destination does not include transportation on the local transfer bus provided by the tour operator. Please consult Sunwing Vacations Sales Centre to make additional arrangements as there may be extra costs to be paid locally.
Maximum 1 windsurfing set per person. Sunwing will charge $100 CAD each way. If roundtrip, Sunwing will charge $200 CAD to be paid at the point of origin.
Passengers are allowed to carry only one piece of sporting equipment per passenger.
Passengers are not permitted to include personal items such as clothing or other non-related items in the sport equipment container.
