Snowboard equipment may be accepted as baggage on Spirit Airlines flights. Snowboard equipment can be transported as a normal checked item if within the standard weight limit (size limits are waived for snowboard equipment). Snowboard equipment may consist of:

A limited liability release form must be signed by the customer. Don't worry if your pack is a little large - Spirit Airlines waives oversize charges on snowboard equipment. Spirit Airlines Snowboard Fees 2023 - Overweight Baggage Fees
41 – 50 lbs. (18 – 23 kg) + $79
51 – 100 lbs. (23 - 45 kg) + $125 (previously $99)
Be sure to note that the Overweight Baggage fee has gone up again in 2023, now priced at $125 for snowboard bags weighing 51-100 lbs (23-45 kg), up from the previous rate of $99.
