Kitesurf equipment is accepted by Air Transat for check-in as regular baggage.

Air Transat's standard Excess Baggage (Extra Piece) and Overweight Baggage (23-32 kg, $100) fees may apply, but there is no Oversize baggage fee for flying with kitesurf equipment.
You can prepay and preregister your kitesurf equipment with Air Transat up to 72 hours before your flight.
Definition: 1 kiteboard, 1 power kite, and 1 helmet per passenger
Dimensions: Regular Size - no oversize baggage fee will be charged, but an overweight baggage fee may be charged if weighing more than 50 lbs / 23 kg.
Cost: See checked baggage allowance for your fare type/destination. You must pre-register and pay for your kiteboard equipment at least 72 hours before your flight. Your kitesurf bag will be charged as if it were a regular suitcase.
Tip: If your kiteboard bag is your 3rd piece of luggage, it is better to register it as either "Windsurfing equipment" or a "Surfboard", as the surfboard baggage fee of $100 is cheaper than the $225 3rd bag fee, and allows for a weight limit of up to 32 kg / 70 lbs without incurring overweight baggage fees.
