KLM accepts SCUBA diving equipment as checked baggage on its flights.
A set of dive equipment may consist of a wetsuit, vest, socks, mask, shoes, flippers, knife and regulator. Dive lamps must be transported as hand baggage, with the bulb and batteries removed. [AMZ asins='B00NIYJF6U,B001PB6R4Q,B009F1924K,B00ZHPLCS2']
You can bring a set of dive equipment as check-in baggage, or instead of extra check-in baggage bought in advance. You need to reserve for transportation a set of dive equipment minimum 48 hours before your flight.
Please note: Air cylinders (scuba tanks) must be empty and the valve should be open or removed. You always need to reserve for transportation of air cylinders, which can only be taken at a special fee as outlined below.
