SCUBA equipment is allowed as checked baggage on Avianca flights, although a sports equipment fee will be charged for SCUBA equipment.

For diving equipment, high intensity underwater lamps will be accepted only if the component that generates heat and the battery are packaged separately. All the batteries that have been removed must be protected against short circuits. Oxygen tanks for scuba diving must be empty.
