Air Transat will accept your SCUBA equipment as part of your regular checked baggage allowance. Standard checked baggage fees apply, meaning it will be charged as if it were a regular suitcase - if within your free checked baggage allowance, it can fly free, but if in excess of your free checked baggage allowance, you will have to pay the regular 2nd bag or 3rd bag fee. Oversize ($100) and Overweight ($100) baggage fees may also be charged.
SCUBA equipment consists of the following: 1 empty O2 tank, 1 tank harness, 1 pressure gauge, 1 mask, 1 regulator, 1 pair of fins, 1 wet or dry suit, 1 pair aqua shoes/booties, 1 buoyancy compensator, 1 snorkel [AMZ asins='B00NIYJF6U,B001PB6R4Q,B009F1924K,B00ZHPLCS2']
Cost: See checked baggage allowance for your fare type/destination
Excess Baggage Charges: Fees will apply if you exceed the maximum checked baggage allowance
You can prepay and preregister your SCUBA diving gear up to 72 hours before your flight.
Note: The O2 tank must be completely empty and the pressure gauge protected. Please ensure that equipment is properly wrapped/secured for transport to prevent loss or damage.
