SATA Azores Airlines Windsurfing Fees and Policies

SATA Azores Airlines accepts windsurfing equipment as long as it is pre-notified and confirmed by the airline at least 48 hours before your flight.

As of February 2023, Azores Airlines charges a windsurfing equipment fee as follows: [AMZ asins='B07WSRXMS8,3903038180,3937323228,B00JE3E028']

Domestic routes: 55 EUR per item
Europe and Africa routes: 60 EUR per item
USA, Canada, and Bermuda: 120 CAD / 90 USD / 75 EUR per item

You must register your windsurfing equipment at least 48 hours before your flight by adding it to your reservation either online or by calling SATA Azores Airlines Reservations. If you do not add your windsurfing bag to your flight reservation at least 48 hours before your flight, it will not be accepted for transport on the day of your flight. You MUST pre-register your windsurfing gear before arriving at the airport to avoid any nasty surprises.
