Surfboards are accepted for transport subject to pre-notification and confirmation by SATA Azores Airlines.
As of February 2023, Azores Airlines accepts your surfboards upon payment of a Surfboard Fee, as follows: [AMZ asins='B00HTA1Z6C,B00GGPK0V2,B00NIYJF6U,B0053TGSK4']
Domestic routes: 55 EUR per item
Europe and Africa routes: 60 EUR per item
USA, Canada, and Bermuda: 120 CAD / 90 USD / 75 EUR per item
You must register your surfboard at least 48 hours before your flight by adding it to your reservation either online, by calling SATA Azores Airlines Reservations. If you do not add your surfboard bag to your flight reservation at least 48 hours before your flight, it will not be accepted for transport on the day of your flight. You MUST pre-register your surfboard before arriving at the airport.
