Avelo Airlines accepts surfboards as a piece of standard checked baggage. The regular checked baggage fees apply, as if your boardbag were a standard suitcase, as well as any applicable oversize ($100) and overweight ($100) fees.

Avelo Airlines will accept surfboard so long as they are packed in a well padded and appropriate board bag or suitable container. Any skegs or fins should be removed or be well-padded.
Your surfboards will exceed the standard size limits, so you will be charged the $100 oversize fee, but unless you are bringing 2 or more boards it is unlikely that you will exceed the 50 lbs weight limit.
