Virgin Atlantic will accept your snowboard gear at no extra charge as part of your free baggage allowance, in place of one of your suitcases - as long as it doesn’t exceed 23 kg / 50 lbs. Otherwise, an overweight fee will apply.
If your snowboard bag is in addition to your free checked bag allowance (keep in mind that Economy Light does not include any free checked bags), you will still be charged the regular Extra Bag fee for your fare class. [AMZ asins='B07F8BZXFB,B085129W7P,B074FV9XFX,B083178YD3,B09HP9W8G8,B01MZYYICB']
Here’s what you can bring:
Snowboarding:
One snowboard
Boots and bindings
One helmet
If you’re the talented type that can both ski and snowboard, note that Virgin Atlanticc claims they will not take both sets of gear as part of your free baggage allocation – it’s one or the other.
