A board (in a bag: max. length 300 cm / 118 inch) and a pair of snowboard boots
You can bring the above set of snowboard equipment as check-in baggage, or instead of extra check-in baggage bought in advance. You do not need to reserve the transportation of ski or snowboard equipment ahead of time.
Avalanche Rescue Backpacks on KLM
An avalanche rescue backpack can be taken instead of a piece of hand-baggage or check-in baggage, or be packed inside your hand-baggage or check-in baggage. You always need to reserve its transportation via telephone a minimum of 48 hours ahead of time to get permission for its transport.
On flights to, from and via the United States, avalanche rescue backpacks with an explosive trigger mechanism are not allowed under any circumstance.
