Qatar Airways Ski Bag Fees

Snow Ski equipment:
One pair of skis, one pair of ski poles, one pair of boots or
One snow board, one pair of boots

Water Ski equipment:
One pair of standard water skis or-

You can fly with skis for free on Qatar Airways, they will form part of your regular free checked baggage allowance, in place of a regular suitcase.

Your set of ski equipment may consist of either One pair of skis, one pair of ski poles, one pair of boots or One pair of standard water skis or One slalom water ski. The maximum weight of your ski bag is limited to 23 kg / 50 lbs.

If your ski bag is in addition to your free checked bag allowance, you have the option to prepay for your skis online at a discounted Sports Equipment rate. Be sure to note that this is only available online before your flight, and not available at the airport on the day of departure.

If you show up at the airport with your ski bag exceeding your baggage allowance, you will be charged the standard Airport Excess Baggage rates, which can get very expensive.
