SATA Azores Airlines Kiteboard Fees

Kitesurfing Equipment is accepted for transport subject to pre-notification and confirmation by SATA Azores Airlines.

As of February 2023, Azores Airlines accepts your kitesurfing gear upon payment of a Kitesurfing Equipment Fee. Be sure to make it clear you are flying with "Kiteboarding Equipment", and not a "Surfboard", as the Surfboard fee is more expensive. [AMZ asins='B01BN1W5G6,B01465RK8E,B00NIYJF6U,B003EBV7XG']

SATA Azores Airlines Kitesurfing Fee 2023
Domestic routes: 55 EUR per item
Europe and Africa routes: 60 EUR per item
USA, Canada, and Bermuda: 120 CAD / 90 USD / 75 EUR per item

You must register your kite gear at least 48 hours before your flight by adding it to your reservation either online, by calling SATA Azores Airlines Reservations. If you do not add your kitesurfing bag to your flight reservation at least 48 hours before your flight, it will not be accepted for transport on the day of your flight. You MUST pre-register your kite bag before arriving at the airport.
