British Airways will accept your kitesurfing equipment free of charge as part of your standard free checked baggage allowance, as long it is within the weight limit for your fare class (23 kg for Economy Class, 32 kg for Business/First Class).
If your kitesurfing equipment exceeds the weight limit of 23 kg / 50 lbs, you will charged a Heavy Bag fee of 65 GBP / 75 EUR / 100 USD / 100 CAD. [AMZ asins='B01BN1W5G6,B01465RK8E,B00NIYJF6U,B003EBV7XG']
Your kiteboarding bag containing the board and kites can be up to a maximum size of 190cm x 75cm x 65cm (75in x 29.5in x 25.5in). Larger bags will not be accepted and must be sent as cargo.
If you are bringing your kiteboarding gear within your free luggage allowance, it will be taken free of charge. If your kiteboarding gear is in excess of your free luggage allowance, the standard checked baggage fees will apply, as if it were a regular suitcase.
