British Airways will accept your golf equipment as checked baggage providing it does not exceed the maximum weight restrictions for checked luggage and is packed in a recognised bag or case to safeguard against damage.
The bag can be up to a maximum size of 190cm x 75cm x 65cm (75in x 29.5in x 25.5in), and will count as one piece of standard baggage. Please note that standard baggage fees may apply if you exceed your free checked baggage allowance. [AMZ asins='B00CUEFDSS,B001P9IA0C,B09BZ2HB4T,B002LZA8PY']
Your golf bag may weigh no more than 23kg (50 lbs) if flying in Economy class before incurring a heavy baggage charge of 65 GBP / 75 EUR / 100 USD / 100 CAD.
A golfing umbrella or parasol carried separately will count as an extra item and will incur its own fees.
We recommend packing your golf clubs with a crush-absorbing travel protector such as the Club Glove Stiff Arm Travel Club Protector or BagBoy Backbone Travel Cover for extra security and piece of mind.
