SWISS Airlines Definition of Fishing equipment: 1 tackle box or 1 haversack or 1 angler's basket, 1 rod, 1 bag or 1 box is considered as Category "Normal" sports equipment.
Your fishing equipment can be transported free of charge if within your free baggage allowance. If your free baggage allowance is exceeded by either the weight per piece or amount of pieces, you will have to pay the regular Excess Baggage fee that applies for your fare type and route. Because SWISS Airlines Economy Light fares do not include any free checked bags, Fishing Equipment cannot be transported free of charge as part of your free checked bag allowance - you will have to pay the regular baggage rate, along with any applicable overweight fee.
