Fishing Equipment is accepted on SAS Airlines as regular baggage. You can take a bait box and a rod in a special rod case or bag. All standard baggage fees may apply when flying with Fishing Equipment on SAS Airlines.
A fishing rod case and a bait box together are considered one piece of checked baggage. [AMZ asins='B000E3E22A,B008BR23FY,B00YEH5PQO,B00SXZMQTM']
Your fishing equipment is considered one regular piece of checked baggage, in place of a suitcase. If your fishing gear is in excess of your baggage allowance, you can add an extra piece of baggage to your booking online. It is best to do this as early as possible, as prices for extra bags go up the closer you get to your departure date. Standard excess baggage fees apply.
If your fishing gear weighs more than 23 kg / 50 lbs, an overweight fee will apply. The maximum weight limit is 32 kg / 70 lbs.
