The bicycle must be packed in a bicycle box or bag, only one cycle per box or bag will be permitted, the tyres must be deflated, the handlebars must be flush with the frame and the pedals removed or flush with the frame.
Items of sporting equipment including but not limited to large fishing rods, golf clubs, bicycles, scooters, surfboards, body-boards, snowboards and skis can be carried in the hold of the aircraft subject to space being available. Upon payment of an additional charge of AUD 60 (or local currency equivalent) per item, per sector (flight) irrespective of weight, Tiger Airways is prepared to carry such items on a 'limited release' (i.e. entirely 'at your own risk' for damage or delay) basis. You may therefore wish to ensure that you have suitable private insurance cover in force for such items. If the fee is not paid on your outbound journey it will still be imposed on your return journey.
