Qatar Airways Bike Fees and Policies

Qatar Airways will accept your bike free of charge as part of your regular free checked baggage allowance.

If your bike box is within your free checked baggage allowance, it will be carried at no extra cost in place of a standard suitcase. However, if you exceed your baggage allowance, you will have to pay extra.

If you plan on flying with your bike, the best option is to pre-purchase a Bicycle allowance on the Qatar Airways website ahead of time, as it is a much cheaper rate to prepurchase your sports equipment. The special sports equipment rates are not available at the airport, and you will instead be charged the higher Airport rate for regular excess baggage.
