Emirates Airlines accepts bicycles as a regular piece of your standard free checked baggage allowance. Bicycles will be treated as regular baggage, and any standard excess baggage fees will apply. Be sure to note that if you exceed the weight allowance, you will be charged a very hefty per KG fee.

On most Emirates flights, where a Weight-based baggage allowance is involved, you are not limited to the number or size of your baggage, as long as total linear dimensions are within 300cm. However, be wary if flying with a Special or Saver fare, as it may be easy to exceed your weight allowance with a bike box.
On Piece Concept flights (to/from North America and to/from Africa, for example), sports equipment such as bikes are allowed up to 300cm linear dimensions per piece. If your bike box weighs more than 23 kg, an Overweight fee will apply.
If you intend to take a bicycle as checked luggage, please contact Emirates at least 24 hours in advance to confirm space availability and the exact fee you will be charged.
Emirates Excess Weight Charge (23-32 kg / 50-70 lbs) for journeys involving Canada and North America
Applicable charge: $75 USD / $95 CAD
