Etihad Airways SCUBA Gear Fees

Scuba diving gear can be included as part of your free checked baggage allowance on Etihad Airway, as long as it does not exceed the allowed weight limits. If you exceed your total combined weight limit, the standard excess baggage/overweight baggage fee will be charged.

Etihad Airways defines a set of SCUBA diving equipment as:
- Scuba regulator
- Tank harness
- Tank pressure gauge (pressure-sensitive devices may need special packaging: the manufacturer will be able to highlight any specific packing requirements)
- Face mask, fins and snorkel
- Buoyancy control device (BCD)
- Weight belt

Please note that spear guns and harpoons are strictly prohibited in both your checked and cabin baggage without prior approval. If you intend to travel with these items, you must obtain the necessary permits from all the countries that you are visiting or transiting through, at least seven days before your journey.
