Iberia Airlines Snowboard Fees

Iberia Airlines accepts snowboards to be checked-in on a flight as a piece of sporting equipment. Your snowboard equipment may be packed in 2 bags, meaning you may pack your boots in a separate bag from your snowboard if you wish, but it must contain only snowboarding equipment.

You'll have to pay a "Sports Equipment" fee for your snowboard on short-haul and medium-haul flights. On long-haul flights, your snowboard can fly as a regular piece of luggage, and may be included in place of a regular suitcase as part of your free checked baggage allowance. If your snowboard bag is in addition to your standard free checked baggage (as an extra bag, for example), you will have to pay the regular excess baggage fee for your flight, as if it were an additional suitcase.
