Virgin Atlantic Golf Bag Fees and Policies

Virgin Atlantic will fly your golf clubs free of charge as part of your free checked baggage allowance, in place of your suitcases, as long as your golf bag weighs less than 23 kg / 50 lbs. If exceeding this weight (up to a maximum of 32 kg / 70 lbs), you will be charged an overweight baggage fee.

If your golf bag is in addition to your free checked baggage allowance, you will still have to pay the standard Extra Bag fee for an additional suitcase. Keep in mind, Economy Light does not include any free checked bags. [AMZ asins='B00CUEFDSS,B001P9IA0C,B09BZ2HB4T,B002LZA8PY']

Here’s what your golf equipment can include:

One bag (containing a maximum of 14 clubs)
A dozen balls
One pair of golf shoes.

We recommend to protect your golf clubs by packing them with a protective impact-absorbing arm/travel cover, such as the Club Glove Stiff Arm Travel Club Protector or BagBoy Backbone Travel Cover for extra safety.
